Windsor Royals Baseball Club since in its inception has been dedicated to the development of junior baseball.

Teams start for children from 6 years old with a progression through to seniors baseball.

Teams are T-ball (Under 8), Rookie Ball (Under 10), Little League (Under 12), Under 14’s, Under 16’s and Under 20’s.

T-Ball is a great introduction to baseball in a fun safe environment for children under 8 years of age. Kids hit off a tee and play games, with the coaches help. Emphasis is to help children to start developing catching, throwing and hitting skills.

Rookie Ball is baseball’s next level for juniors which caters for children from 8 to under 10. Still being a development league for children, Rookie Ball helps children of all abilities to enjoy and learn baseball in game situation. Games are played with both hitting from batting tees and coaches pitch.

Little League is for children from 10 to under 12. This league helps both children new to the sport as well as juniors that have played all since T-Ball. At this age children are eligible to try for regional team selection.

Under 14 to Under 20’s is open to all junior new to the sport as well as juniors that are becoming veterans to baseball.

Junior baseball is played trough out summer Saturdays, with breaks coinciding with school holidays. Games are from 1.5 hours to 2 hours for the older grades. Training is on weekday afternoons with qualified coaches.

The Windsor Royals Senior Baseball program provides competition levels of play for social players through to high performance elite athletes.

Training ranges from once per week for the more social player to two or three times per week for our Major League players.  Training takes place at night under lights and players are broken down into teams based on skill level.  Teams generally train as squads of two or three teams and include on field defence and batting, as well as controlled skill improvement and development in batting cages and bull pen’s.

Fixtures take place on Sundays for all senior teams except for the Major League team, who play two games per week on Friday nights and Sunday afternoons.

We encourage junior prospects to take part in senior training and fixtures, and we see it as a good way to improve skill and performance.
