The Windsor Royals are pleased to announce the reappointment of Nick Bachono as Director of Coaching for the 2020-2021 season.
Nick is entering his tenth year of coaching this season for the club, he will also be the Division 2 Field Manager.
Nick is a product of the Baseball Queensland development system. As a player he joined the Royals family in 2003 under the guidance of Warren Symonds and Steve Gilmore.
Nick has represented the Windsor Royals at the State and National level as a junior. He was a member of the Queensland Academy of Sport and MLBAAP under Peter Gahan and Luke Prokopec.
Progressing his baseball career to college in the U.S. Nick spent two years playing baseball at Trinidad State Junior College then transferring Oklahoma Panhandle State University where he finished his four years of college baseball and completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science.
In recent years, Nick has been a part of the coaching and junior development for Brisbane Metro and Baseball Queensland development programs.
This year with the Windsor Royals, Nick’s focus will be on coaching development for the Junior teams, ensuring a great and rewarding experience for players and parents alike.
Nick also intends to win a championship in Division 2.
Recently engaged, we are looking forwards to seeing Nick joined by fiancé Natalie around the club this season.
